Love In The Morning- an inspired poem

Love woke me up this morning

As it grace my face with a gentle breeze

I turned to my side and witnessed the beauty

Of what love has given me

Like a new light shining within my heart

I feel renewed and strengthened

With an inner peace it is love I seek this day

Knowing that the vitamins of love keep me

I am hungry for love as love beckons me

To draw myself deeper into its depths

Love is the answer I seek this day

And I know my cup will be filled.

LOVE HARDER

My husband and I got into an interesting conversation last night. He made a statement that I totally disagree with, saying that he was "afraid for America". He made this statement based off what he has been seeing on the news (which he watches a lot of). I try to discourage him from watching so much news, it's one thing to be informed, and it's another to be inundated with it day and night. I am a firm believer that you need to watch what you're hearing, seeing, and speaking. If you are constantly inundated with negativity it can cause you to become a cynical and suspicious person, always looking over your shoulder.

Lately, the news has provoked fear, anger, and honestly disgust within me, when I see what has happened to others. However, I refuse to live in fear. I was preaching to my husband last night that this is our opportunity to LOVE HARDER. We must decide to
  • Conquer fear
  • Conquer hate
  • Conquer violence
And we do this with faith and a determination to LOVE HARDER. We can not control what happens in the world but we can control how we decided to participate. We can choose how to react when we feel sad, angry, or fearful.

And I choose to LOVE. I choose to be a part of the solution and not to live in fear. I choose to act in ways that uplift this country and raise a child who will contribute her gifts to humanity. As a mother it is easy for me to worry about the safety of my child. I am aware that there are some people as Judge Judy called it, " are not wired right", or as my husband would blatantly say "are plain evil". But, despite the evil things that happen in the world, I will live in love.

I am thankful for the fear because it calls me to action. A call to create an atmosphere of love and be a part of the movement of love. I told my husband that there are many people who are promoting love, except they don't make the daily news. I told him people like me and you- and as long as I'm in the world, I choose to LOVE HARDER. By the end of our conversation (or maybe my passionate speech) my husband agreed that maybe he could not watch so much news. I just smiled.

Gratitude

I wanted to take this moment to sit in gratitude. There are so many things I am grateful for in my life.
  • I am grateful for my beautiful daughter, for the joy she brings into my life, for her being healthy and happy, it is truly a wonderful gift to be her mother. Visit my other blog www.journeyofagoodmom.blogspot.com for more of my writings on being a mom.
  • I am grateful for my wonderful husband who works two jobs just so I can stay home with our daughter. Thank you sweetie for all your love and support.
  • I am grateful for my life and thankful for the love God has blessed me to experience. Everyday is truly a blessing.
  • I am grateful to be able to do what I love and follow my purpose. I am loving blogging and being able to express myself.
  • I am grateful for my mother, step-dad, sister, and brother who are a major part of my life. I am thankful for their health and wishing them much love and success.
  • Finally, I am grateful for my health and ability to take this moment and look at my life.

Update on my book

I just wanted to give a quick update on my book, Create More Love Part 1:Ten Traits To Attract A Good Man. Well, I've come a long way in four months-from completing my first book to learning about how to market my book. I recently purchased a recommended book by John Kramer, 1001 Ways to Market Your Books, and I'm really enjoying it.

I've come to a new understanding about the book world. This understanding has caused me to re-look what I thought was the completion of my book. I have found that I want to rework somethings. So I've decided to postpone the release date of my book and focus more on producing a great work of art, something that I can stand on for years to come. A part of me is eager to have my first book published but another part of me wants to be a perfectionist (which I am usually not). However, I will have an E-book available for free- and I will post when it's up on my website. I have been working hard on my website and happy about how it turned out. Please let me know what you think http://www.createmorelove.com/.
